The Quiet Bloom

A GARDEN JUST BEGINNING
In April, I wandered through the walled garden at Kylemore Abbey.
Â
The garden was just beginning to wake up. There were soft blossoms, fresh air, gravel paths, old stone walls, green grass, and the quiet little spaces tucked throughout the garden: the bothy, the solarium, the tool shed.
Â
Nothing felt fully in bloom yet. And I loved that.
Â
There was something beautiful about seeing a place at the beginning of its growing season rather than waiting for everything to be full and finished.
Â
That feeling became this piece.
Â
I chose a soft, delicate pink wool that reminded me of those early blossoms and the quiet promise of renewal.
The crochet is structured and carefully shaped, finished with a kissing clasp and a sturdy base so it holds its form.
Â
It can be worn as a small purse using a strap through the side openings, or carried on its own as a generously sized coin purse.

It is a quiet reminder that growth doesn't always have to be loud. Sometimes it begins softly, almost unnoticed.
Â
Made slowly and intentionally by hand, one stitch at a time.
