Kylemore Bloom

These began at Kylemore Abbey, on a perfect day when everything seemed to be in bloom.

I wandered through the walled garden slowly, taking in the flowers, the shrubbery, the old brick buildings, the bothy, the tool shed, and the conservatory.
Â
There was hardly a cloud in the sky, and the whole garden seemed to invite people to slow down.
Â
Everyone walked quietly, almost in hushed tones.

I loved that feeling. The softness of the garden, the quiet of the day, and all those delicate shapes unfolding around me.

When I found this soft pink wool, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it.
Â
The Jasmine stitch creates a gentle, almost circular pattern that reminds me of flowers opening and overlapping across the garden.
Â
These arm warmers reach from the knuckles up the forearm, with no thumb hole, creating a soft, graceful layer of warmth.

A little bit of Kylemore in bloom, made to carry with you.
