Inish Mór Quiet

These began with a quiet day on Inis Mór.

I had only 24 hours on the island, but I spent much of that time walking, taking in the green fields, the stone walls, the paths around Kilronan, and the wide-open feeling of the island.

It was a beautiful, sunny day, but what I remember most is the stillness.

There was something deeply relaxing about walking without needing to be anywhere else, surrounded by so much green and stone and sky. I found myself wishing I could stay longer.

The soft merino wool I brought home reminded me of those colors .

The greens of the landscape against the weathered stone.

I used some of the same wool to make my Inis Mór Stillness slippers, and these arm warmers became another way to carry that feeling home.

They reach from the knuckles up the forearm, with a thumb hole for a comfortable fit and easy movement.
