Westport was full of color.

The buildings were painted in bright, unexpected combinations, and everywhere I looked there was another little bit of color to notice.

I brought that feeling home with me in this yellow Westport tweed.

I love the way this stitch works with the yarn. The crochet creates rows of little V-shaped lines that travel upward, giving the whole piece a subtle rhythm and texture.

It's simple, but it isn't plain.

The yellow has plenty of personality on its own, so I paired it with a blue wristlet and a whimsical floral lining.

It's a little larger than my Bouquet Pouch, with a hard bottom that helps it hold its shape.

It's the kind of clutch I can imagine carrying all day wandering through a town.

Stopping for coffee, heading somewhere for dinner, and keeping just what I need close at hand.
