A Place to Slow Down

I knew I wanted to walk the Long Walk, so I followed the map until I found it, then put the GPS away. I wasn't looking for somewhere else to go. I just wanted to be there.

The water was moving toward Galway Bay, people were talking somewhere behind me, and I could hear the River Corrib running through it all. Paddy and Fiona came with me, and so did my yarn.

I sat for a while and listened. That was really the whole point.
